What is a neurodevelopmental condition?

Neurodevelopmental disorders are disabilities in the functioning of the brain that affect a child’s behaviour, memory or ability to learn e.g. mental retardation, dyslexia, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), learning deficits and autism. (World Health Organization)

Is it just for individuals diagnosed with autism?

This initiative is for individuals with all autism spectrum disorders aswell as those with neurodevelopmental and rare neuro-genetic syndromes such as Fragile X, Prader Willi syndrome and Velocardiofacial syndrome.

Who will be able to access the information I give?

Strict privacy and protection policies will be enacted to ensure no inappropriate use of data. The proposed registry will record information about people anonymously and will not affect the rights or access of individuals to services
